As the Spring starts to slowly leak into the air and waters, it is time to start exploring the outdoor pursuits in the Duluth area.

You might bring home a big one!

You might bring home a big one!

Maybe it is time for you to really get a sense of why Superior is called a “great lake”. How about a charter fishing trip? This could be a great excursion for a family, or maybe something for the guys to do while the ladies go shopping and have lunch.

There are a variety of different charter companies that will take you or a group out for a day on the water. Most of these charterers will bring you onto the lake or the St. Louis river to fish for Lake Trout, Chinook Coho Salmon, and Walleye. Many boat captains will clean and bag the fish for you. A trip can be affordable, especially if you travel with a group. Prices can range anywhere between $300 to $400 for a half day and $450 to $650 for a full day. So if you want to do more than just look at the water from our Minnesota Inn, consider a fishing trip!
