Vista Fleet Harbor offers sightseeing cruises on Lake Superior daily. After getting about four inches of new snow last Wednesday to “freshen” up the snow banks, today the sun is bright and melting it away quickly. The ice breaker Alder was out breaking up the ice in the Harbor and around the North and South Piers today getting ready for the first shipping traffic to leave the port. This time of year at Solglimt is always fun to watch the ice floes come & go, come & go and then go for good and hear the waves lapping on the sand beach again until next winter.
