We have been living on the banks of Lake Superior in our Duluth bed and breakfast in Park Point for a good 33 years now. Over the years, we’ve taken quite a few beach walks with our children, together, alone or with friends. As we walk, we always scan the sand for beach glass.

After visits, revisits and extensive deliberation, the winners of the Duluth News Tribune’s Awsome Views Contest were published in todays paper. Brian and Mary Grover’s Solglimt Bed and Breakfast on Park Point, at 828 Lake Avenue S. was chosen as a fifth place winner in a very difficult decision by three News Tribune judges. With a classic Duluth view that includes Lake Superior, downtown, the North Shore, the Aerial Lift Bridge and piers, Park Point beaches and the Duluth harbor, Solglimt Bed and Breakfast was in a dead heat for fifth place with two other entrants out of 31 nominees.
