Duluth Attractions: Leif Erickson Park
Duluth is home a to a wide variety of historical and cultural points of interest. Only 2 miles up the street from our Duluth Minnesota Inn is the Leif Erickson Park & Gardens. In case it has been a while since you had a history lesson, Leif Erickson was the Norse Viking explorer who is thought to have been the first European person on North America, as early as 1000 A.D.
Here at his park in Duluth, you can explore a full size replica of a viking sea ship. Along with fascinating replica, there is also a rose garden with over 3000 bushes, an herb garden and a marble gazebo. Plenty of benches facing the Lake for relaxing and enjoying the view.
The rose garden is well worth seeing in the spring, and Leif Erickson Park is an ideal place for a picnic lunch or a game of frisbee. We hope you will stop by the rose garden while visiting our Minnesota Bed Breakfast.
